With such a greeting, it is obvious we will make our first ever journey to Great Britain.
March seems to be a perfect fit for such a theme night with St. Patrick’s day just two weeks away.
Thurday March 15th will be our little celebration of some of my favourite pub offerings of this region with a few personal twists. Like scotch eggs for an appetizer. Hard boiled eggs wrapped in ground sausage then lightly breaded, baked and served cold. $5
Shepards pie – $15 … Your own personal dish, traditionally seasoned minced lamb topped with fluffy whipped parmesan mashed potatoes baked to a golden brown.
Sirloin of beef and mushroom guiness pie – $15 … served in it’s own pastry bowl this tender beef guiness stew is always a favourite during the warming days of March.
Bangers and Mash – $12 … These crispy fried sausages are delish with whipped potatoes and accompanied with a homemade onion sauce.
March is also the start of something new and exciting at the Amadeus. We have joined forces with the local chefs initiitve in serving locally sourced food. We are starting with a few menu options and hope to increase these offerings throughout the year. We are excited to offer you fresh organic menu selections and a majority of our theme night menu with be prepared in this manner. We are also very excited to be part of the all new Culinary Guide featuring restaurants with local farmers and how we will partner together to bring these services to you !
As mentioned, our salute to British pubs will be on the 15th ! We will also be offering pints of Fullers London Pride to accompany the menu. Reservations can be made by return email or calling 613-546-7468.
